Message: To help clarify the situation a little regarding the FRA, The whole building was visited by the Fire Dept doing a routine safety check in April 06. When they visited the clubhouse and saw that we sold food, (the best in Okpo I might say) they reported it to the City Hall to ensure that were registered as a commercial business. Since then we have asked DSME management to help us resolve the matter. We hope for a decision very soon. One way or another the FRA will continue to survive. It has been going since the very early 80's and we need it. Keep coming to Okpo you are all welcome.

Message: Regarding the latest news, I have heard a different story, that it wasn't other pubs/restaurant that complained to the council, but it was the Fire Department who reported the club's absence of a licence to sell food and alcohol when they came in for a safety audit. Please clarify this issue. Why wasn't the club licenced before anyway? Was it tax reasons or something? I guess it would have affected the 'significant contribution to charities.' Now the Koreans will think we are tax-avoiders! Great!
